Abstract

Bunda Sri Mersing Market is located in the CBD (Central Business District) area of Dumai City, thus causing high mobility in Bunda Sri Mersing Market Area. Bunda Sri Mersing market consists of several roads, these sections are dominated by 4/2 D road or four-lane two-way divided or with median road. With such conditions, traffic problems arise in the form of traffic jams. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to try out several problem solving proposals to improve the performance of the road network. The analytical method used in this research is the analysis of accessibility, network performance, parking analysis, and pedestrian analysis. The analysis was carried out using primary data from the field and secondary data obtained from relevant agencies, journals and other sources that can be used as guidelines in solving problems at the study site. For network performance analysis on the proposed problem solving is carried out with the help of the Vissim transportation application. The results of the network performance will then be compared between the existing conditions and the conditions after the problem solving proposal. In this study, the network performance parameters used are the average delay, network speed, total distance traveled, and total travel time.
