Abstract

Based on data from the Pkl Team, the West Sumatra Technical Center, the distance on the Padang–Pauh Lima crossing is 15+750 km, there are 32 crossing gates. There are 7 official level crossings, 5 unofficial level crossings and 20 illegal crossings. With the increase in the frequency of train trips, there is a need for research on improving safety on cross-country up to five feet. In order to improve safety, in this study, a level crossing in the Padang–Pauh Lima cross was studied. The method used in this mandatory paper report is using a traffic counting survey. the purpose of the manual traffic count survey is to obtain data on the number and types of vehicles that pass on a road segment, as input in the preparation of plans and programs for the development of road networks, road legers and road data banks. The results of the analysis from the authors carried out on the mandatory working paper report, there are 2 crossings that must be changed from level crossings to non-level crossings.
