Abstract
Mud pumping is a condition in which water is trapped in the body of the rail road, or commonly referred to in everyday language as Mud Pumping. The cause of mud pumping is due to ballast that cannot carry water under the body of the rail road body. This causes the water to be trapped in the body of the rail road. And if it continues to be left it will result in the sub ballast layer being saturated and will cause the ballast to mix with the sub ballast (sand). To anticipate this from happening, it is necessary to optimize the railway line by dealing with Mud Pumping problems. The handling of mud pumping is expected to increase the comfort and safety of the train and can anticipate the occurrence of PLH (Extraordinary Great Events).
