Abstract

Bus stops are transportation infrastructure as supporting facilities used by the public to wait for public transportation. Bus stops in Binjai city are also used by the community as a place to sell, which sometimes there are people who want to use bus stops to be uncomfortable and feel unsafe. This is what makes the lack of public interest in using existing bus stop facilities properly so that the bus stops in the North Binjai area have not functioned properly. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the effectiveness based on the function of the bus stop and evaluate the bus stop facilities in order to provide safety and comfort to its users in accordance with its function, namely a place to raise and lower passengers. The study of the effectiveness of the use of bus stops is reviewed through the existing parameters of bus stops and the behavior or perceptions of bus stop users based on the function of public transport stops in the North Binjai area and also based on the completeness of public transport stop facilities in the North Binjai area according to existing technical standards. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is concluded that seen from the existing form of bus stops in the North Binjai area that the completeness of bus stop facilities in the North Binjai area does not meet technical standards in the form of the absence of bus stop signboards, signposts, seats, canopies, and cleaning facilities, the effectiveness value of bus stop users in North Binjai District is 38% with ineffective criteria, there is a reduction in the number of bus stops in North Binjai District.
