Abstract

In this study, the authors took a case study regarding parking arrangements in the Ulakan Market area, Karangasem Regency. The road section that is the location for on-street parking is Ulakan Street, which is a shopping and market area as a center for trip generation and attraction. The high volume of vehicles in the area makes the demand for parking spaces higher than the provision of existing parking spaces so that the level of parking needs has not been fulfilled, as a result parking revenues have not been able to reach the target set annually by the Karangasem Regency Transportation Service. Therefore, it is important to increase parking retribution income in the Ulakan Market area through the existing analysis. The analytical method used in this research is by way of existing conditions with conditions after alternative problem solving has been carried out. The proposed recommendation is in the form of optimizing the parking angle so that it can provide a larger parking space capacity. With the existing parking space capacity, parking revenue will also increase, but with an estimate of the performance of the road before alternative problem solving is carried out. In addition, another suggestion is that the location of on�street parking will be off-street, which will also increase the parking space capacity.
