Abstract

In this study, the authors take a case study regarding on-street parking on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Purwodadi Market, Grobogan Regency. This area is one of the centers of economic activity as a center for trip generation and attraction. However, due to the lack of parking space provided, vehicles park on the road and cause conflicts between parked vehicles and vehicles passing on Ahmad Yani Street. On-street parking is applied to both sides of the road, namely the angle of 450 for the type of car and 900 for the type of vehicle. motorcycle. However, there are some vehicles that are still not regularly parked, so they take up a larger parking space. So indirectly the condition of on-street parking causes a reduction in the effective width of the road and affects road capacity. The results of on-street parking analysis show that the provision of parking spaces still exceeds the existing parking demand. However, because there is no good parking arrangement, it results in reduced road performance, for example in the existing conditions on the Ahmad Yani road with a capacity of 2114.55 (pcu/hour), V/C Ratio 0.51, travel speed 32 (km/hour) and density 34.25 (pcu/km). The proposed recommendation is in the form of improving road performance by moving on-street parking to off-street parking on existing land by taking into account the number of parking spaces required.
