Abstract

The absence of public transportation in Sigi Regency causes the level of use of private vehicles, especially motorbikes by various groups of people, especially among students in Sigi Regency. The location of the object of this research is in Sigi Biromaru District which is the CBD of the Sigi Regency area. This educational area consists of SMPN 1 Sigi, SMPN 13 Sigi, SMAN 1 Biromaru and SMKN 1 Sigi. The school under study is located in the Sigi Biromaru District in Sigi Regency. The research was conducted using a survey method of interviews with students and data from government agencies as supporting data. From the results of the analysis, the potential demand for school transportation in Sigi Regency is 846 students and the actual demand is 0 because there are no schools that use public transportation to school. There are 3 planned school transportation routes in Sigi Regency, namely route 1 with a length of 13 km, route 2 with a length of 27 km and route 3 with a length of 16 km. The school bus planning also calculates the number of fleet needs, the number of bus stops, vehicle operating costs, and fares.
