Abstract

School bus services in Balangan Regency are still less than optimal, where there is only one fleet serving each route. There is no public transportation with a fixed tray and it is always available for students who are not served by students who have to use private vehicles. Underage students are forced to use motorbikes where these students do not have a driving license. So the authors evaluate the performance of services and follow the performance plan of an operation. Based on the analysis of demand for general ventilation, it is known that the actual demand from students is 166 students and potential demand is 761 students. The movement caused by the highest students comes from zone 7 and zone 20, so the proposed route extension is planned. The number of fleets required is based on actual demand of 7 fleets and potential demand of 15 fleets. The scheduling plan is on the Dahai-Paringin route which will serve at 06:00-07:00 WITA, while on the Gampa-Paringin route, it will serve at 06:15-07:09 WITA
