Abstract
Ciamis Regency is a trajectory city in the east of West Java province which is on the South route so that it is strategic as a freight transport route from regencies and/or cities in West Java Province. The high volume of movement of goods that has not been supported by a freight terminal, this has resulted in a lot of parking and loading and unloading being found on the side of the road so that it reduces the performance of roads and interferes with the driver's visibility so that it can cause accidents. This study aims to determine the exact location of the freight terminal in accordance with the characteristics of the pattern of movement of goods and conditions in the study area so that it can overcome the impact of decreasing road performance due to the absence of a freight terminal. The determination of the location for the construction of the freight transportation terminal is carried out using the CPI (Composite Performance Index) method which assesses using several criteria that are determined by transforming each criterion. The criteria formulated are accessibility, road performance, initial investment costs, and volume of freight transport. Based on the results of the analysis, it is obtained that the weight value of the accessibility criteria becomes the main priority of 32%, then the road segment performance criteria becomes the second priority by 30%, the criteria for the volume of freight transport as the third priority by 22%, and the initial investment cost criteria becomes the last priority by 16%. Imbanagara Village, Ciamis District on the Imbanagara Highway was chosen as the best alternative location for the construction of a freight transport terminal with a total transformation value of 306.61
