Abstract

Transportation services in Klaten Regency are still far from optimal, seen from the very minimal use by the community. The days of urban transportation operating in Klaten Regency are decreasing due to the minimal public interest in urban transportation services. The decrease in the use of public transportation is also caused by an increase in the number of motorbike users among students. In terms of safety, based on accident data, students who experienced the second highest accident rate in Klaten Regency were students, where the age range of 16-25 years experienced 366 accidents out of 1003 accidents that occurred in 2020. So it is necessary to plan school bus for students. This study aims to be able to plan school transportation in terms of operational management, routes, and applicable tariffs. Based on this research, it was found that there are three routes, namely Route 1 with route Karanganom – Klaten Utara route length 8.6 km, Route 2 with route Kalikotes – Klaten Utara route length 7.7, Route 3 with route Kebonarum – Klaten Utara route length 8.2. And the fare for Bus 1 is Rp. 4,785.47 , Bus 2 for Rp. 4,755.75 and Bus 3 for Rp. 4,771.9.
