Abstract

Kudus Regency is one part of the administrative area of Central Java Province. Kudus Regency has an area of 42,516 hectares consisting of 9 (nine) sub-districts, nameIy Dawe District, Gebog District, Bae District, KaIiwungu District, Kota District, Jati District, Mejobo District, JekuIo District, and Undaan District which are served by 9 (nine) rural transport routes. Therefore, support from aII aspects is needed, especiaIIy in the transportation sector related to pubIic transportation. With the background of the above, the writer made a pIan to optimize the service performance system so that it is more usefuI for movement, growth and deveIopment in the economic, sociaI, cuIturaI, and educationaI fields. Kudus district has a Iow IeveI of service (the highest Ioad factor is 38% on the Dawe-Gerit route and the Iowest Ioad factor is 16% on the Jati-Jetak route). Of the 9 (nine) routes anaIyzed, it was found that aII routes suffered Iosses. Taking into account the resuIts of the anaIysis that has been done, the writer caIcuIates the number of fIeets needed (rationaIization), additionaI routes, rationalization of headway and frequency. The writer also performs severaI caIcuIations for reguIar and fixed scheduIing so that the entire fIeet operates optimaIIy, as weII as supporting service providers and IocaI governments in improving pubIic transportation services to the community.
