Abstract

The Liwa Flowering Park area on Raden Intan III street is located in the activity center (CBD) of West Lampung Regency. The land use around the Taman Liwa Flowering area on Raden Intan III street is shops, education, parks, offices and worship. The problem with pedestrians in the Raden Intan III street area is that the need for pedestrian facilities has not been met, the average width of the sidewalk on Raden Intan III street is 1,3 meters. For the activity center area (CBD), of course the sidewalks are not sufficient to accommodate pedestrian activities on Raden Intan III street and there are no crossing facilities and other supporting facilities. The purpose of writing this research is to determine the existing conditions of pedestrians, characteristics of pedestrians, analyze the need for pedestrian facilities, provide design proposals for pedestrian facilities and determine the level of pedestrian walkability index. This research can be produced from primary and secondary data surveys and the main thing is an interview survey of pedestrian facility users in the Taman Liwa Flowering area. In this research, sampling used the Slovin method where the population was taken in the Liwa Flowering Park area with a sample size of 100 people. The results of this research are proposals for solving pedestrian facility problems, namely widening sidewalks and crossing facilities in the form of a Zebra Cross, level of service for pedestrian facilities, planning pedestrian support facilities, level of walkability index, as well as design of pedestrian facilities in accordance with applicable calculations and regulations.
