Abstract

Based on the Decree of the Regent of Kulon Progo, there are 29 rural transportation routes, but in field conditions only 3 routes are operating. Of the three routes, only 8% of the area of Kulon Progo Regency is available. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange rural transportation routes in Kulon Progo Regency. This study aims to determine the distribution of demand for rural transportation services, find out routes according to demand, fleet needs, rural transportation network performance, rural transportation operational performance, vehicle operational costs and transportation rates. The analysis used in this study includes analysis of actual demand and demand potential, determination of fleet needs, analysis of rural transportation network performance, analysis of operational performance of rural transportation, analysis of vehicle operational costs (BOK) and tariff analysis. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting a State of Preference survey on the people of Kulon Progo Regency with a Google Form questionnaire. Then the proposed rural transport route is obtained by reactivating the dead route on request. From the results of the study, 13 proposed rural transportation routes were obtained, and the ratio of rural transportation services increased to 62%.
