Abstract

In the implementation of rail transportation, support is needed from the railway infrastructure with predetermined criteria, requirements and procedures for the continuity of rail operations. In accordance with Law no. 23 of 2007, railway infrastructure includes train tracks, train stations and train operating facilities. Meanwhile, the train operating facilities in accordance with Article 59 include signaling equipment, telecommunications equipment and electrical installations. Railway Telecommunication Equipment is a train operating facility that functions to convey information and/or communication for the purposes of operation, security, safety and the railway passenger service system that is installed in certain places in the railroad operating area. Radio as one of the telecommunications equipment plays an important role for the smooth and safe operation of rail transportation. If communication is disrupted, it could potentially result in train operation accidents. Therefore, appropriate steps are needed to prepare and keep reliable telecommunications equipment for train operations.
