Abstract

West Lampung Regency is one of the largest vegetable-producing regencies in Lampung Province and is a Tourist Destination Area, so that the region requires a good transportation system so that people's mobility can be well served. A good transportation system needs to be supported by good transportation facilities and infrastructure as well. Based on the results of an inventory survey of rural transportation infrastructure, among others, the number of rural transport stops (halts) in West Lampung Regency was 21 units. However, only 15 stops are passed by the Liwa Way Mengaku Terminal and Liwa - Sampot Terminal routes, all of which do not comply with the technical standards for engineering public passenger vehicle stops, in addition to the location of the stops which do not comply with technical standards. This causes rural transport drivers to pick up and drop off passengers at inappropriate places, in addition to the fact that the available facilities cannot provide comfort for rural transport users. With these considerations in mind, it is necessary to improve services for infrastructure facilities at rural transportation stops. the development of rural transport stops is adjusted to the needs of the people of West Lampung Regency.
