Abstract

On the By Pass Ngurah Rai Road Section in the range of 2018 to 2022 based on data from the Denpasar Police there were 17 cases of accidents, this is considered a quite significant increase considering based on data from the Denpasar city traffic police in 2021 the number of accidents reported throughout the city of Denpasar of 360 cases. This study aims to determine accident-prone locations using the Upper Control Limit (BKA) and Upper Control Limit (UCL) calculation methods on the By Pass Ngurah Rai road, Denpasar city and recommends treatment based on the relationship between the characteristics of the causes of accidents and the results of road safety audits. . Of course, this road section requires a lot of infrastructure needs and road safety supporting infrastructure that is not given enough attention, such as too much damaged infrastructure, and a lack of attention to pedestrian facilities which tends to cause many traffic accident conflict points. the high number of accidents on the Ngurah Rai By Pass Road. Identify the factors that cause accidents, and Identify the causes of accidents based on the location of the accident then Plan improvements to improve road safety. Repairing damaged road surfaces Repainting damaged markings Maintaining plants so they do not cover the light on street lighting and the height exceeds electricity and telephone poles Repairing damaged signs and sidewalks Adding safety facilities such as speed limit signs, crossing markings, noise tapes and other facilities.
