Abstract

The Central Business District (CBD) area of East Lombok Regency hassystemland use in the form of offices, schools, hospitals, shops and tourist attractions. However, the sections of Zainuddin Abdul Majid, Myamin, and MT. Haryono roads do not have adequate pedestrian facilities, so that pedestrians who do not have facilities mix with vehicles, potentially causing conflicts that can affect safety and affect the smooth flow of traffic. Therefore, it is necessary to improve facilities. pedestrians to improve safety and smooth traffic flow. The analytical method used in this research is evaluation of existing conditions, analysis of facility needs and assessment of pedestrian space accessibility. In evaluating existing conditions, the level of service that exists in actual conditions in the field is calculated as well as determining the characteristics of pedestrians and the proportion of vehicles passing through the study road section. Facility needs analysis is carried out to determine the specifications of pedestrian facilities required using the basis of regulations, journals and other sources. An accessibility assessment is carried out to find out how easy it is for pedestrians to pass through the study road section and in the end the proposed planned facilities will refer to pedestrian accessibility so that it is disability friendly and makes it easier for pedestrians to pass through the study road section. With the analysis that has been carried out, the proposed pedestrian facilities for the Zainuddin Abdul Majid road section have a planned sidewalk width of 1.6 m on each side and the crossing facilities are in the form of a Pelican Crossing. For the M. Yamin road section, the crossing facilities are in the form of a Pelican Crossing and a Zebra Cross. For the MT Haryono road, the planned sidewalk width on the left side is 1.6 m and the crossing facilities are Pelican Crossing and Zebra Cross.
