Abstract

Ir. Sutami road is a Primary Collector Road located in Bandar Lampung City. Ir. Sutami road is a national road and has a road length of 3,000 meters, divided into 3 segments and has a 2/2 TT road type. Based on the results of the analysis of the general report of the Bandar Lampung PKL Team, Ir. Sutami street is the fourth rank of accident-prone roads. Judging from direct observation of the road conditions, there are still damage and potholes due to the sandy road factor in the industrial area sector and the lack of lighting at night causing Ir. Sutami road to be one of the roads with a high accident rate in Bandar Lampung City. Based on data from the Bandar Lampung City Police Traffic Unit, the number of accidents on the Ir. Sutami road section was 66 incidents with a fatality rate of 18 people killed, 21 people seriously injured and 52 people slightly injured, where the types of collisions that often occur are front and side front. To improve road safety, several analyses are used such as analysis of determining accident-prone areas in each segment, analysis of accident causal factors, analysis of driver behavior, analysis of road infrastructure, analysis of accident costs with the gross output method and analysis of hazard identification risk assessment and risk control (hirarc). It is expected that by making efforts to handle the safety of these problems can reduce the number of traffic accidents and the severity of accident victims on Ir. Sutami road, Bandar Lampung City.
