Abstract

ABSTRACT Sumber Terminal is a type B terminal located in Sumber sub-district, Cirebon Regency. The terminal with an area of 3,625 m2 serves 2 city transportation routes within the province (AKDP), and 2 rural transportation routes. The transition of authority from the district government to the provincial government caused the Sumber terminal, which was originally a type c terminal, to switch to a type B terminal. However, this was not accompanied by an increase in existing facilities in the terminal. This research uses quantitative methods to determine the level of availability and suitability of existing facilities in the terminal. The results of the Customer satisfaction index (CSI) analysis show that terminal visitors are quite satisfied with the services provided by the source terminal. Through PM no. 24 of 2021 concerning the implementation of terminals and road transportation, it is found that 38% of the facilities are available and of these facilities, 41% are in accordance with the minimum service standards (SPM) based on PM no.40 of 2015. The mixed circulation between pedestrians, private vehicles and public transportation creates 22 conflict points at the terminal. Therefore it is necessary to rearrange the layout of facilities and circulation in the terminal. Through this advice there was a decrease in the number of conflict points to 2 points. In addition, the results of the calculation of terminal facility requirements show that to make improvements an area of 4550 m² is required. However, due to the limited area available, some facilities such as private vehicle parking areas and shops/canteens were moved to the side of the terminal to maximize the terminal area as a transportation node. Therefore, the revitalization of this source terminal is expected to improve the quality of terminal services and increase the number of terminal visitors.
