Abstract

Al Jabbar Mosque is one of the mosques that has become iconic in the city of Bandung. The architecture of the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque is different from the architecture of mosques that are commonly found on a daily basis. The iconic design of the Al Jabbar Mosque creates a great tourist attraction so that it causes a high movement pattern towards the Al Jabbar Mosque area. The poor performance of the road around the Al Jabbar Mosque area which is characterized by the density of vehicle volume on weekends, high side obstacles, the unavailability of pedestrian facilities, still found vehicles passing not according to their designation. The purpose of this study is to provide proposals for solving traffic problems in the Al Jabbar Mosque area in order to improve the performance of road sections for the community visiting the Al Jabbar Mosque and road users who cross the Al Jabbar Mosque area. The analysis methods used in this study are road performance analysis, intersection performance analysis and pedestrian analysis. The analysis was carried out using the 2023 PKJI analysis (Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines) and modeling was carried out using the PTV Vissim 11 application. The proposed solution was obtained from the results of the analysis, namely the implementation of a one-way system, adding pedestrian facilities, a vehicle height limit portal, and a railway crossing portal. The results of this study showed that the performance of the road network increased for network speed of 29.63 km/h, average delay of 14.66 seconds, total mileage of 14,374.86 km, and total travel time of 1,746,697.60 seconds.
