Abstract
The Central Business District (CBD) in Bandar Lampung City, dominated by trade and service activities, is a hub that attracts significant attention from the surrounding community due to its high level of mobility. Transportation mode usage to the CBD area shows that private vehicles dominate with a proportion of 86%, while public transportation accounts for only 14%. This indicates that public transportation is still less favored by the public. The high usage of private vehicles towards the CBD in Bandar Lampung City causes fluctuations in traffic activity at the access points to the area, ultimately leading to congestion. This research aims to design policies to increase the use of public transportation to the CBD area in Bandar Lampung City. These policies are based on an analysis of the characteristics of transportation mode choices using the Binary Logistic Regression method, through simulations of variable changes in the model formed from the analysis results. The variables that significantly influence the choice of mode to the CBD area in Bandar Lampung City include: travel cost (X9), public transportation accessibility (X10), public transportation safety (X12), and public transportation comfort (X13). The probability of using public transportation based on the model calculation is 13.95%.
