Abstract

North coast of Java Island. Based on data obtained from the Situbondo Regency Transportation Service, there are 8 stops on the Situbondo-Banyuputih route. However, there are 15 existing bus stops and the stops on the Situbondo - Banyuputih route have not been utilized properly. Many passengers get on and off at random places due to the poor and damaged condition of the bus stop buildings and facilities as well as the location of the bus stops being far from passenger pockets. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate determining the number of bus stops needed in order to provide safety to users. To determine the number of bus stops needed, the Strugas calculation formula from statistical science is used. From the analysis that has been made, it is necessary to add 14 bus stops to the rural transport passenger compartment. Passenger bags that do not meet the calculations are proposed for the construction of 23 public transport stops. The dimensions of the bus stop obtained are 4 m x 2 m with a height of 2.7 m. For suggestions related to the development of stopping place infrastructure (Halte) on the Situbondo - Banyuputih route in Situbondo Regency, namely the need to build public transportation stopping facilities in accordance with the results of the analysis of determining needs, for development it is hoped that the proposed bus stop design can be used.
