Abstract

Bekasi City is one of the cities in West Java with an area of 213.12 km². The geographical location of Bekasi City is directly adjacent to Bekasi Regency, Bogor Regency, and DKI Jakarta Province. Bekasi City is divided into 12 sub�districts and 56 villages/kelurahan. This study aims to determine the performance of three signalized intersections on Chairil Anwar Street, Bekasi City, namely East Bekasi Intersection, DPRD Intersection, and UNISMA Intersection, and to optimize their performance through inter-intersection coordination. This study uses a comparative descriptive method with a before-after research design. Data were collected through field surveys, literature studies, and secondary data from related agencies. Data analysis was carried out using the PKJI 2023 formulas and Transyt 14.1 software. The results of the study show that the three intersections have suboptimal performance, with an average degree of saturation above 0.50, an average queue length above 100 meters, and an average delay above 40 seconds per vehicle. Inter-intersection coordination using Transyt 14.1 software shows better results than the existing conditions. The average degree of saturation decreased to 0.47, the average queue length decreased to 80 meters, and the average delay decreased to 35 seconds per vehicle. The conclusion of this study is that inter-signalized intersection coordination on Chairil Anwar Street, Bekasi City can significantly improve intersection performance. This coordination can be carried out using Transyt 14.1 software to determine the optimal cycle time and offset.
