Abstract

The Pasuruan Regency CBD area is in Bangil District which consists of 15 roads and 7 uncontrolled intersections with land uses in the form of shops, commerce, education, and there is also Bangil Square. High activity in the CBD area of Pasuruan Regency causes traffic problems in the form of congestion caused by high side obstacles. High side obstacles in the form of on-street parking and street vendors using the road on Jalan Alun-alun Utara, Jalan Alun-alun Timur and Jalan Untung Suropati 2 affect traffic performance in the Pasuruan Regency CBD area. The aim of this research is to determine a scenario for handling traffic performance problems in the Pasuruan Regency CBD area using traffic management and engineering. The analysis methods for this research are road performance analysis, intersection performance analysis, parking analysis, and pedestrian analysis. The research uses transportation modeling in the form of the PTV Vissim application with the GEH validation test. The scenarios for handling traffic problems are one-way system management (SSA) on Jalan Alun-alun Barat and Jalan Alun-alun Timur, moving and arranging on-street parking, priority intersections, arranging street vendors, providing pedestrian facilities, and speed restrictions in the Pasuruan Regency CBD Area. After the implementation of the scheme for handling traffic problems, there was an increase in the performance of the road network in the CBD area of Pasuruan Regency, namely the average delay for the existing 10.99 vehicles/second changed to 7.15 vehicles/second, the network speed changed to 33.78 km/hour 39.62 km/hour, the total distance traveled was 8159.19 kend-km changing to 6459.37 kend-km and the total travel time was 241.51 kend-hours changing to 163.03 kend-hours.
