Abstract

Cirebon Regency is a regency located in West Java Province. The center of Cirebon Regency activities is located in Sumber Subdistrict, transportation conditions will continue to grow rapidly, so periodic evaluation of intersection performance is needed. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the performance of the intersection under current conditions and improve the performance of the intersection to determine the level of service of the intersection which is influenced by the characteristics of traffic flow, road capacity, queuing opportunities, and delays and the degree saturation value of Sendang Intersection. The analysis method used in this research is the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2023. Then to determine the determination of intersection control using the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB). Furthermore, to determine the level of service based on the traffic flow delay of each leg of the intersection using service standards from the source of PM 96 of 2015. The results of the analysis show that under current conditions the degree of saturation (DS) value is 0.88, the queue opportunity value ranges from 31-61%, and has a delay value of 15.23 seconds /mp. So that the level of service based on delay is C. To increase the capacity of the intersection, several alternatives can be used. Simulation of increasing the capacity of the intersection with the two alternatives resulted in the analysis of proposal I with the widening of the minor foot approach resulting in a delay of 14.15 sec/smp with level of service "B", APILL with two phases for the second alternative, namely by installing APILL with three phases of delay 36.95 sec/smp with level of service "C".
