Abstract

The safety system when performing maintenance facilities is not adequate in accordance with PP 50 of 2012 Attachment II Criterion 6.5.8 there is no lock system on energy sources. The safety applied in the Railway Maintenance Center is still potentially dangerous. The purpose of this study is to improve safety and prevent work accidents at the Maintenance Center for technicians during maintenance. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner to describe the application of safety systems in facility maintenance activities in Ngrombo Railway Maintenance Center. The analysis of energy sources in the facility is intended to determine the source of energy that can turn on the facility when carrying out maintenance so that it poses a hazard to maintenance technicians. the application of the Lock Out Tag Out system is intended to isolate energy sources, it is necessary to implement a safety system when maintenance and repair activities take place in addition to the use of PPE because there are still potential hazards such as electric shock, collision with facility components, and being cut off when maintenance and repair activities take place. further enhanced by referring to PP 50 of 2012 is expected to add a safety system in the form of a lock system in maintenance activities in order to prevent accidents. Use of energy source isolation equipment for technicians by using safety devices in the form of Lock Out Tag Out so as to avoid fatal work accidents.
