Abstract
The railway is the most important element of land transportation in the development of mass transportation in Indonesia. According to the Strategic Plan, the East Java Regional Railway Engineering Center has a railway line development plan that has been set out in the 2020-2024 Development Activity Program. These activities include the construction of a double track and the improvement of the railway line on the Sepanjang-Mojokerto route with a length of 33 km' sp. The methodology in this plan begins with primary data collection in the form of direct field observations and secondary data in the form of existing conditions and 2021 train travel charts. The results of this study that are the travel time for passenger trains has increased by 19.13% and for freight trains by 37,55%. As for the cross-carrying capacity of 12,101,126 tons/year, including road class II.
