Abstract

The problems that exist in testing railway facilities, one of which is inputting data on periodic testing of facilities which is still done manually so it still requires paper, this process also requires the accuracy of the examiner. If you are not careful, then the test is repeated, so it takes longer and requires more paper. Thus the test becomes ineffective and efficient. Based on these problems, the author wants to provide a solution through inputting information technology- based data, so that the testing process becomes more effective and efficient. before and after using the information system, To find out the time efficiency before and after using the information system The technique or method of data collection is in the form of secondary data obtained from relevant agencies, namely the Railway Testing Center and PT KCI as supporting data and there is primary data obtained from field observations and related agencies. The analysis used in this study is a system development technique and an analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of the time and personnel of the regular railway facility examiner. It has been successfully built a data input application for periodic testing of android-based railway facilities. to develop this data input application using Java programming via Android Studio device. With the data input application, it will be easier for examiners to carry out periodic testing of railway facilities. The results of the workload calculation are overload where there is still a shortage of examiners, so that the working time of the examiners who are in charge of filling out the checksheets for periodic testing of facilities increases. from the comparison simulation results in the simulation table has been proven. The time difference between the two is 02:42:35 (two hours and fourty-two minutes and threety-five seconds). That way, in addition to more efficient time, there is the effectiveness of the examiner.
