Abstract

Switch over as an important phase for double track construction. When changing track and rail structures, especially when track doubling is coming into operations, a switch over procedures is needed. In preparing track switch over, the structure of track affected and the effect of staging works within the master schedule must be calculated indetails and agreed by the operation division, the consultant and the contractor. The assumption factor in window time setting consist of 3 duration scenarios (optimistic, normal, and pessimistic) as plan of window time. The existing window time at Gapeka (Train Timetable) is 187 minutes between 00.10 - 03.17 hours, involving Train (KA) 157 and KA 306. As the result of basic window time analysis, an integrated window time is obtained, the planned window time is longer than the existing window time with the difference of 78 minutes. This will imply a big impact and changes train operation schedule. Increase in duration of window time will also shift train schedule. As analyzed within calculations, train time from Gedebage Station to Kiaracondong Station is added by 12,5 minutes. KA 157 delayed at Rancaekek Station for 78 minutes and will departs at 04.28. KA 444 canceled by exceeding schedule of KA 446 and 3 other trains will have schedule changes because of 2C’s speed limit.
