Abstract

The development of railway lines has a strategic role in realizing, strengthening, and strengthening national resilience. Therefore, the development of the Gedebage-Cicalengka double line requires careful technical analysis, one of which is from the aspect of the impact of changing mechanical signals to electrical signals at Cicalengka station. The study of the impact of signal switching was carried out through field surveys and institutional surveys to obtain primary and secondary data that were used as the basis for the study of signal turnover. The main points included in this analysis are signaling system analysis, signaling equipment reliability analysis, station capacity analysis and signaling layout design analysis. the results of the research are the level of reliability of the signaling equipment, the operating capacity of the Cicalengka station, and the comparison of the existing and planned signaling layout designs. The results of the analysis of the impact of changing the signaling system show that with the planned signal change and the construction of double lines, there will be an increase in station capacity by 20.14% on single lines and 33.33% on double lines or from 144 trains to 336 trains on dual line electrical signaling system.
