Abstract

Infrastructure development has a goal with certain time, cost and time limits. and every job has a potential hazard of work accidents which can result in injury, even death, this will also have an impact on the objectives of a construction project which results in time delays and cost overruns. This research focuses on the work activities of skybridge escalators and travelators at Padalarang station. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential hazards and risks of escalator and travelator work activities in the Skybridge construction at Padalarang Station, then carry out a risk level assessment afterwards to produce risk control. Secondary data is used as a basis for describing research studies, which will strengthen the primary data. Primary data collection is done by observation, interviews and questionnaires which are used as the basis for risk assessment. The research results concluded that the risk assessment in the escalator and skybridge travelator work at Padalarang station resulted in 2 potential hazards with a low risk level, 7 potential hazards with a medium risk level, and 3 potential hazards with a high risk level. From existing danger risks, control is carried out by eliminating sources of danger, substitution, technical engineering, administration, and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
