Abstract

Maintenance is a series of activities carried out to maintain facilities and equipment so that they are always in a state of readiness to carry out production effectively and efficiently in accordance with a predetermined schedule and based on standards. The purpose of this research is to plan the proposed design of the placement of maintenance facilities in the form of maintenance equipment and maintenance support facilities in each maintenance line. The research method used is descriptive method. Descriptive research method is a method used to find out the picture, situation, a thing by describing it as detailed as possible based on existing facts. The analysis used includes analysis of existing conditions in each maintenance path, analysis with the fishbone method, analysis with fishbone diagrams and area analysis. The results obtained from this study are that in the Maros Train Depot there is a facility maintenance process that is not yet optimal. This happens because there is no flow of maintenance facilities and maintenance facilities that are lacking and not in accordance with Ministerial Regulation Number 18 of 2019 concerning Standards for Places and Maintenance Equipment for Railway Facilities. Therefore, the planned maintenance flow and proposed maintenance equipment in each facility maintenance line. This is done so that the maintenance facilities at Maros Train Depot are in accordance with applicable regulations and can make the maintenance process more effective and efficient.
