Abstract

The need for public transportation in Tomohon City from time to time continues decline due to theincreasing number of activities population using private vehicles and online transportation in urban and ruralareas, this is because they are not balanced with the minimum service standards by the government. Based on the result of field observations data on average frequency, load factor, headway and average age of vehicles areobtained rural transportation in Tomohon City has a low average frequency, low load factor, and an averagevehicle age above 20 year. This research compares the performance of rural transport services in Tomohon Citywith existing conditions with minimun service standards and provides a solution to the number off fleets that areexpected to meet the mobility needs of the community and can increase the willingness of the population to switchto using public transportation modes so that it can have an impact on inreasing load factor and rural transportincome in Tomohon City.
