Abstract

Transportation has become an important role for humans because the need for connectivity and moving places has become a major human need. The existence of public transportation makes people able to carry out mobility easily and also becomes a source of income for the perpetrators of these public transportation services. Public transportation, one of which is rural transportation, is a mode of transportation that serves the community within the district. Tanah Datar Regency has 12 active routes out of 64 permitted routes, which means that the existence of rural transportation is weakening due to the use of private vehicles and also declining service performance in terms of quality and quantity. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 98 of 2013 concerning Minimum Service Standards for the Transportation of People with Public Motorized Vehicles in the Route which regulates the parameters of public transport services and also the Decree of the Directorate General of Land Transportation Number 687 of 2002 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Implementation of Public Transport in Urban Areas Fixed and Regular Routes that regulate the needs of the fleet. In this study, service performance evaluation was carried out to compare the current loading factor with the number of existing fleets and then compare it with the planned load factor and the number of planned fleets.
