Abstract
Transportation has an important role in supporting student activities to school. In choosing the mode for students to go to school, there are considerations to take into account the constraints and ease of use of public transportation and private transportation, because there is no special transportation for students. This study was conducted to identify the characteristics of the family on the choice of modes used in student travel in Sukabumi City and the factors that influence the choice of modes used in student mobility to school which then calculated the probability of each influential variable using the Bayesian approach, and to find out the response of families with special transportation for students. Thus, it is known the factors that influence the selection of student travel modes of transportation. In this study, the data was processed using the Bayes method, with the logistic regression method as a comparison. Data analysis was carried out by looking for correlations between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Furthermore, the data is processed using a quantitative approach to explain the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The influential variables then calculated the Bayesian probability value and logistic regression as a comparison. data analysis used SPSS 26.0 to determine the correlation between variables as well as logistic regression analysis and Microsoft Excel 2013 to facilitate the calculation of Bayes values.
