Abstract

The city area is a center of business activity that desperately needs transportation services, but is still experiencing various problems, one of which is traffic congestion which is influenced by side barriers and the use of road bodies. Comboran Flea Market is one of the areas with high traffic volume but has various problems, including parking activities and buying and selling activities that use the road and problems with pedestrians. So that a proposal is needed to improve traffic performance on roads and intersections in the area. The purpose of this study is to be able to provide suggestions in order to improve traffic performance on roads and intersections in the Comboran Flea Market area. This study uses a quantitative approach that focuses on processing numbers using the formula in the 1997 MKJI analysis, the Directorate of Highways and the Ministry of PUPR. In this study, it was found that the average performance of existing roads in the area is an average V/C ratio of 0.64, a density of 56,196, a speed of 24,708 km/hour and the majority of the level of service is C. As for the performance of intersections, namely the average degree of saturation is 0.735 and the delay is 12,905. The suggestions given include changing the parking angle, switching parking from on-street to off-street, and adding signs. The proposal is able to provide changes in the performance of sections and intersections for the better
