Abstract

On the Bandung-Cicalengka railway route, there are single-track sections, specifically on the Kiaracondong-Gedebage and Haurpugur-Cicalengka segments. Currently, double-track construction is underway on these single-track sections, which is transforming the track specifications on the Bandung-Cicalengka route. The single-track sections currently have a capacity of 131 trains per day on the Kiaracondong-Gedebage segment and 121 trains per day on the Haurpugur-Cicalengka segment. To assess the increased capacity of the railway on the segments undergoing double-track construction, it is necessary to conduct an analysis related to railway capacity.The research results indicate that, based on theoretical capacity calculations, the capacity of the railway on the segments being upgraded to double track increases to 347 trains per day on the Kiaracondong-Gedebage segment and 400 trains per day on the Haurpugur-Cicalengka segment. Therefore, the Bandung-Cicalengka railway route can accommodate additional train journeys as needed, as there is unused railway capacity
