Abstract

Tuban Regency has many transportation movements, especially land transportation because Tuban Regency is a crossing area for the North Coast route which connects the distribution route from Central Java to East Java through the northern route. Of the many land transportation movements that go through the pantura route (North Coast), the most dominating movement is the movement of freight transportation vehicles, with the most vehicle movements per day being movements that enter Tuban Regency or just passing through Tuban Regency with a vehicle movement of 10499 vehicles/day, this result was obtained from the Road Side Interview (RSI) survey data. However, this is not balanced with the location for transit or for the freight transportation to rest so that many freight transportation vehicles are parked on the side of the road, restaurants or on vacant land around the cross network in Tuban Regency, this can be the cause of unsmooth traffic flow, reduce the capacity of road sections, obstruct visibility and even cause accidents. One solution to avoid this is to plan rest facilities or Rest Areas for freight transport drivers. In planning, of course you the most impotant thing is to analyze alternative locations, this analysis is carried out based on the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method, the assessment is carried out by calculating the calculation of each building criterion and the calculation of the assessment weight of each criterion, from these calculations will later be selected one of the best Rest Area location points as a point for the construction of freight transportation service facilities and equipped with the need for facilities that can support Rest Area services later.
