Abstract

The railway is a transportation mode that has the advantage of transporting large-scale passengers. The purpose of this study is to identify flooding on the railway tracks at KM 143+635 – KM 143+800 on the Gadobangkong-Cimahi track segment and to propose new drainage dimensions to accommodate the appropriate water flow on the railway tracks. This is a quantitative study. The research was conducted during Field Work Practice using rainwater runoff analysis and channel dimension analysis methods. Rainwater runoff analysis was conducted by calculating the highest rainfall in West Bandung Regency, which is 454.3 mm. From these calculations, using the channel dimension analysis method, the channel height (h) was determined to be 0.87 m, and the width (b) was 0.52 m. The proposed drainage system is precast drainage because it has more advantages compared to direct drainage, and the water flow from this channel is directed to the nearest river or the nearest culvert, which is BH 676.
