Abstract

During the Eid transport period, KAI added one train to the Kuala Stabas train series, so the capacity increased to 384 passengers. This is to support and transport the increasing number of passengers during the Eid transport period. Efforts have been made to analyze passenger forecasting for the next 5 years using Kuala Stabas train passenger volume data, passenger demand analysis by assessing occupancy levels and interviews to determine passenger characteristics and demand, analysis of Kuala Stabas train facility needs to determinde facility needs based on passenger forecasting, and additional analysis of the new Kuala Stabas train travel schedule. From the results of the analysis, it was found that Kuala Stabas train users expect additional train trip schedules at 21:00 and 00:00 WIB, therefore additional trips are needed from 4 to 6 trips to meet passenger needs. And additional facilities of trainsets are needed on the Kuala Stabas train for passenger needs during the upcoming Eid transport period. The additional trips use facultative trips owned by the Limex Sriwijaya train which is no longer operating so that these trips can be used for passenger needs during the upcoming Eid transport period.
