Abstract
The construction of electrification on the Padalarang – Cicalengka route will support the operation of the Greater Bandung Electric Railway which can reduce congestion, increase capacity and reduce pollution. Cikudapateuh - Kiaracondong Station uses a Solid State Interlocking (SSI) signaling system which has been used since 1997 and currently spare parts for the Solid State Interlocking (SSI) signaling system are no longer produced. With the electrification plan across Greater Bandung, there needs to be a preparatory study to support the plan. By using existing analysis we can find out what deficiencies exist and what can be improved. Furthermore, if we already know the existing conditions, we can analyze the disturbance. The impact of this disturbance is the occurrence of train delays. From the existing disturbances, we then carry out a comparative analysis to see the reliability of the existing signaling system with the newest signaling system and we can see the final result in the form of the reliability value of each signaling system. From the results of the discussion, it was found that solid state interlocking signaling systems always experience interference with older components, so their reliability values are smaller than the newest signaling systems. To support the operation of Electric Trains, it is necessary to upgrade or rejuvenate components in order to increase the reliability of the signaling system which affects the comfort and safety of train travel.
