Abstract

Railways are a mode of transportation used to transport people or goods in large capacities. Railways support passenger mobility in carrying out daily activities such as work, shopping, school, recreation, and others. Therefore, efficient services and frequency of departure are needed by railroad passengers. Padalarang-Bandung crossing is one of the busiest crossings under BTP Class 1 Bandung because there are 3 types of trains passing through. The three types of trains are long-distance, commuter line, and feeder trains. Schedule changes are often made on this crossing because Feeder Trains follow the journey of the Whossh Fast Train but this condition can be overcome by setting the operating pattern because there is still remaining crossing capacity. In the next 5 years with the increase in passengers and travel frequency, the Padalarang - Bandung crossing exceeds the V / C Ratio. Therefore, it is necessary to upgrade the railway line to accommodate train operations in the next 5 years. Line upgrades are carried out on the Padalarang - Andir Line from double track to double - double track and the Andir - Ciroyom Line from single track to double track.
