Abstract

One of the activities aimed at reducing pollution and environmental damage caused by the process of inspection, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure at the Balai Perawatan Perkeretaapian Ngrombo is the management of hazardous and toxic waste. This study aims to develop a B3 waste management system in accordance with applicable requirements by using the sample method as a basis for performing an inventory, and then conducting interviews and observations to evaluate B3 waste management in order to carry out a suitable B3 waste management plan. According to studies on B3 waste, there is some garbage that has not been effectively managed, including used lubricants (oil), used bulbs, contaminated rags, contaminated masks, contaminated gloves, used solvent cans, and consumable replacement parts. Improvements to the TPS storage process, namely identifying the types of liquid and solid waste so that waste management equipment can be built and used to adjust conditions in accordance with BAPEDAL Number KEP.01/BAPEDAL/09/1995 and Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup RI Number 30 of 2009.
