Abstract
Railway station is a part of the system of railways where a journey begins and ends, or the place where the passengers change modes of transportation, for example from one train to another with a different purpose, or from one train to another mode of transportation. Station design is now becoming complex and must take into account the changing needs of passengers and freight travel. The design of the platform and concourse has changed because it is related to safety, security and comfort requirements.
