Abstract

At the site of the eastern Solo Balapan Station there are 2 (two) intersecting railway lines called diamond crossing. The plan to demolish the diamond crossing has an impact on the inggris turnout number 11 EF, which connects the diamond crossing with lines III and IV of Solo Balapan Station. So there was a plan to change the inggris turnout 11 EF into a regular turnout at Solo Balapan Station. The study used diamond crossing survival condition analysis, III and IV Solo Balapan track survival conditions analysis, analysis of effective track length calculation in lanes III and IV with 1:12 angle check, and compared the inspection and treatment of Inggris turnout with regular based on periodic maintenance. Conclusion from the results of the analysis obtained is that the inggris turnout 11 EF angle 1:10 at the Solo Balapan Station was dismantled and replaced with the usual left turnout at the angle of 1:12. The changeover of the turnout order had an impact on the change in effective track length of 8 metres so that for track III from an effective track length of 483.2 metres to 475.2 metres and in line IV from an effective track length of 305.8 metres to 297.8 metres. In addition, there was a change in the track layout of the Solo Balapan Station site where the KZ line along the direction from Semarang to the southern location of Solo Balapan Station was eliminated.
